Talk:Term limits
From BeyondVoting
Some beleive council members would sell their soul for an end to term-limits. Prince for life. Wow! Is this a reasonable idea? Does it foster local governance? Do we want it? Post your opinions here.
[edit]
I like term-limits, especially for the mayor's position and the other city-wide positions (why aren't the District Attorneys included?). But perhaps a more transparent and open governance system would eliminate some of the negative aspects of election-to-grave terms, and justify the eliminating term-limits for council members.
