At some point we should meet. But for a start, consider the following: julie
- let's use a wiki to make our plans
- if you're not sure how to use one, give me a call at 718 639 4222 and I'll talk you through an edit - from start to finish - in one minute
- how about we have an open committee - the three of us and anyone else who wants to help. If we keep it a dedicated "committee space" with little no mention of providers, affiliates, task forces, or non-profits, we can have a fruitful conversation while we look for a permanent home discussion space/platform.
- we can use this wiki page for now - would be good to have RSS on the wiki making it easier to access. A volunteer to look into that?
- have you had the opportunity to look at Beyond? I'm going to make a major reorganization of it and your thoughts would be appreciated. Also, and far more important - fix it, make it better, add something, tell of a relevant experience, make it pretty...
- finally, do we need a banner atop the page indicating something like "This is a test area. No affiliation between the LN discussion and BeyondVoting wiki should be implied" anyhow, getting "Livable" known is the plan now
See you at the wiki.

ok -- as it turns out i have to teach on thursday afternoon from 4-5:30...
so maybe i can do a little independent study and post it for you on the wiki. i can crop out some of the images from the pdf and make small images for the web. i will try to put one up and maybe you can give them some nice arrangement if i can just tack them somewhere?

ps. i looked around awhile to find out how to upload photos. i looked in the commons and i think i get how to do it. but what i do not get is what kind of copyright tag we use. do you know about this?
I see 8 photos by three people (Micaela, Liz Lazer, and Lisa Kersavage). And a map. It would be good to use them all. I know the full document will be made available on the Planning Center's site, I presume in .pdf and perhaps other formats. But it would be good to advise the photogs of our use of the photos, and the license terms. We can ask if the printed credit is adequate or if a link is desired. Not clear on the structure of this operation. Who do we ask? I'd suggest we get an email from each, with Micaela or Eve coordinating.
I read all the stuff Angela (the mayor in chief of wikicities) posted on licenses and remain confused. I use creative commons licenses on much of my stuff and would do that with the photos, were they mine. But we need to decide where we put this long term - on Wikia or another Mediwiki host. And to answer the question of governance, i.e., who and how this living document get modified. Let's give it a bit more thought.

revisit my post above, i threw up the map to see what it looks like and put a copyright tag on it. the tag is messy but im on the run and i didnt want to leave the map out there alone! kz 4.18.05
