Community Media Act
From BeyondVoting
The Community Media Act consists of several sections:
1. It funded the creation and operation of community board websites.
2. Provided training in their use to board members and district office staff.
3. Provided funds to engage and train the public to use the websites.
The CMA's requirement for open and transparent operation of the community board websites enabled civic associations, schools, religious and social institutions to participate in the sites' operation.
